Hendricks County Substance Abuse Task Force's S.M.A.R.T. (Stopping Minors with Alcohol Response Teams) program is pleased to recognize one of the many restaurants in Hendricks County that have been checked for compliance with the state's underage drinking regulations. SMART uses off duty police officers to make these checks of many of the business in our county who sell or serve alcohol. It is not our goal to do harm to these businesses but to keep our young people safe and healthy. On the contrary we would like to work very closely with them to make our county a better place to live and work. To that end we recently became members of a group known as RAD (Responsible Alcohol Distribution). We are very happy to see good results from these efforts.
