The Hendricks County Substance Abuse Task Force engages the community with several programs designed to educate and inform parents and children about substance abuse. Below are some of the programs available in Hendricks County that the Task Force supports through funding. For more information, please contact us.
We are currently running ads on the Comcast and Brighthouse cable networks regarding drugs, alcohol, and tobacco use. Look for them soon!
A tipline has been set up for people to report underage drinking or drug sale/use. The number is UDR-2494 (837-2494). It will be anonymous as to who reported it.
S.M.A.R.T. This stands for Stopping Minors with Alcohol Response Teams. This will be a group of off duty officers from the various agencies in the county doing projects at least 4 times a year to watch for illegal sales of alcohol to minors, monitor minors on probation and minors in consumption.
HCSATF is working to put together training for law enforcement officers, pharmacist and health care providers on the abuse of prescription and over the counter meds.
