Under social host liability laws, adults who serve or provide alcohol to minors can be held liable if the minor who was provided alcohol is killed or injured, or kills or injures another person. The laws and fines concerning social hosting are not harsh enough. Why does serious injury or death have to occur before it becomes more than a slap on the wrist?

The S.M.A.R.T. (Stopping Minors with Alcohol Response Teams) program is pleased to recognize one of the many restaurants in Hendricks County that have been checked for compliance with the state's underage drinking regulations.

S.M.A.R.T. uses off duty police officers to make these checks of many of the business in our county who sell or serve alcohol.

The Hendricks County Solid Watse Managmenet District has partnered with the Hendricks County Substance Abuse Task Force to begin accepting unwanted pharmaceuticals at Tox-Away Days.

Any unwanted medicines, prescription or over-the-counter will be accepted from Hendricks County households.

A program designed to significantly reduce the prescription drugs in American homes that are either no longer needed or outdated.

These same drugs have become the target of theft and misuse, oftentimes by people who have access to the residence. America’s teens have made prescription drugs the number one substance of abuse and much of that supply is unwittingly coming from the medicine cabinets of their parents, grandparents, and friends.
